This policy explains which data the Shopify app Stockwyn processes when a merchant installs it, why, and for how long.
2. Data from your Shopify store
- Your shop's myshopify.com domain and the access token Shopify issues to the app.
- Your app settings: selected locations, buffer, maximum quantity, the quantity used for products without inventory tracking, and whether price sync is on with your markup.
- Product and inventory data (product and variant IDs, titles, SKUs, stock levels) is read from Shopify when it is needed. We keep inventory item IDs in a short-lived work queue and the result of the last consistency check.
- For every product you link to a marketplace listing: the Shopify variant and inventory item ID, and the quantity we last confirmed on the marketplace with the time of that check; with price sync on also the marketplace price we last read and the price we last confirmed, with its time.
- The start date of your free trial. Payments are handled entirely by Shopify; we never see payment details.
- The language of your Shopify admin (for example German or English), to show the app in your language and to decide which languages to add next.
We do not use online access tokens, so no data about your staff accounts is stored.
3. Data from eBay
- When you connect an eBay account: your eBay user ID and the access tokens eBay issues to the app. Tokens are stored encrypted.
- The eBay listing IDs, SKUs, listing titles and variation names you link to your Shopify products, so the app can show you what is linked.
- For imported orders: the eBay order ID, the matching Shopify order ID, the import status, the sale and change dates from eBay, and which listings sold how many units (listing ID, SKU, quantity) — no buyer data.
- When a shipment is reported to eBay: the ID of the Shopify shipment it came from and, if eBay refused it, the reason. Tracking numbers are read from Shopify and sent to eBay, not stored by us.
4. Buyer data in eBay orders
To create an eBay order in your Shopify store, the buyer's name, shipping address and phone number are passed from eBay directly into that Shopify order. We do not store them in our own database, do not use them for any other purpose and never send emails to buyers.
5. Technical data
Our server records technical logs (time, requested path, status) and error reports from the app's pages (error message and page path) to keep the service running and secure. They are kept by our hosting provider for a limited time and are not used to identify people.
6. Purposes and legal basis
We process the data to provide the app you installed (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and to keep it secure and working (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not sell data, do not use it for advertising and do not use tracking cookies.
7. Service providers
- Shopify — the platform the app runs on.
- eBay — only when you connect an eBay account.
- Railway Corporation — hosting of the app and its database on servers in the United States.
Where data is transferred to the United States, this is based on appropriate safeguards under Art. 44 ff. GDPR.
8. How long data is kept
- When you uninstall the app, its Shopify access token is deleted right away.
- All remaining data about your shop is deleted when Shopify sends its shop deletion request, usually 48 hours after uninstalling.
- When you disconnect eBay in the app, or connect a different eBay account, the previous connection and your links to that account's listings are deleted right away.
- When eBay notifies us that an eBay account was closed, its connection and the links to its listings are deleted. Records of orders that were already imported stay until your shop's data is deleted, because they keep an order from being created twice in Shopify.
- Our database is backed up once a day in encrypted form and the last seven backups are kept, so deleted data can still exist in a backup for up to seven days.
9. Your rights
You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or a copy of your data, and object to processing, by emailing hello@stockwyn.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
10. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new date.
